This edition of the "Overseas Shipping Operating Concepts and Military and Commercial Foreign Customs Interfaces" document (Revision C) has been updated to include new information obtained to date. The new information was gathered by a combination of on-site meetings, Internet searches, telephone calls, and additional documentation received.
Major revision areas of this document include the addition of information concerning military cargo on military overseas carriers, existing commercial procedures, as well as automated information systems for transportation and shipping. Information pertaining to military cargo on military overseas carriers can be found in Section 4.4. Information concerning existing commercial procedures can be found in Section 5.2. Automated information systems for transportation and shipping information is contained in Appendix A. Other sections of this edition may have had minor modifications to reflect the new information included herein.
